Directions

Use the wash/glaze to base the surface with a mix of sour apple and lemonade half and half mix. Use the filberts to do initial basecoats or use the brush that you are comfortable with. Transfer Pattern

 

INITIAL BASECOATS:

PUMPKIN- Canyon Orange

BOOTS,HAT,SPIDERS- Black

WITCH’S DRESS-Purple Wave

SOCKS-Marigold

BOTTOM OF BANNER- Purple Wave

 

PAINTING (use ½ Angular Shader for entire project)

 

PUMPKIN-Use  Russet to shade entire edge of pumpkin and right side of eyes and nose. Use 6 filbert and Black to base eyes, nose, mouth. Use #1 liner and Lemonade to paint stem of pumpkin.  Use #1 liner and Marigold to paint inside of eyes and mouth.

WITCHES HAT- Band on hat use #6 shader,  Dioxazine Purple. Use DM Stippler and White to put highlight. Use Sour Apple and top of handle of your brush to make dots. Use same technique and color to add dots to spiders eyes, dots on witches dress.

 

WITCHES BOOTS- Use #1 liner and Hauser Light Green to paint bands. Use white to add highlight.  Use star stencil and orange twist for stars on boots.

 

WITCHES STOCKINGS- Use #6 shader and Purple Wave to paint in stripes.  Use #1 liner and White to paint triangles on stockings. Use Canyon Orange and stylus to add dots. Use 10/0 liner and Black to add outline of legs.

 

WITCHES DRESS- Use Dioxazine Purple to add shade to bottom of dress. Use Sour Apple and stylus to add dots.  Use 10/0 liner and White to add line across the bottom of dress.

 

BAT-Use DM Stippler and White to add highlight. Use Black and angular to add shadow under bat.

 

BOTTOM OF BANNER- Use Dioxazine Purple to shade top. Use 10/0 liner and Orange Twist to write wording.

 

SWIRLS- Use 10/0 liner and watery mix.

 

STARS- Use star stencil and Dioxazine Purple and DM Stippler.

 

SHADING UNDER PUMPKIN- Use Dioxazine Purple and ½/ angular shader to add shading across the bottom of the pumpkin.

 

LINE ACROOS THE TOP- Use 10/0 liner and Marigold to add fine line across the top of the witches dress. Use Black and ½ Angular shader to add shade under the line you just did in Marigold to add depth.

 

SPLATTER EFFECT- Use the old toothbrush and watery mix of different colors to splatter the entire piece. You can also use a flat brush to splatter.

 

STRIPES ON OUTER EDGE OF BANNER- Use ¾ Glaze/Wash and White to paint the squares.  Lightly sand the entire surface(after it is completely dry). Add 2 to 3 coats of sealer add your ribbon and enjoy.
