NOTE: I use the 8 & 6 Filbert to base the whole pattern. Let paint dry between each step.

Supplies

Wood (Can buy from Lowe’s or any hardware store) The size I used in this project is 6” tall by 5 ½” wide by 1 ½ “ thick

Homespun Fabric (Hobby Lobby)

Stylus

Delta Ceram coat Matte Sealer (Michael’s)

 

Preparation

Use ½ glaze/wash and half and half mix of Raspberry and White base entire surface. Let dry ,sand and transfer pattern.

 

Directions

Use Bleached Sand to base the snowman. Let Dry.
Use Black to base hat and snowman eyes.
Use Canyon Orange to base nose.
Use Winter Blue to base little birds.
Use Antique Maroon to base 3 small flowers on hat.
Use Raspberry to base small and large flower and the strap and bow.
Use #1 liner and Baby Pink to paint in small roses on strap and bow.
Use Hauser Light Green to base leaves on hat.
Use DM Stippler and Raspberry to dry brush cheeks.
Detail on face of snowman use 10/0 liner and black to paint in the eyelashes, mouth, and eyebrows.
Detail on birds use black and 10/0 liner to paint in eyes and little sprouts of hair. Use camel and #1 liner to paint beaks.   

SHADING: NOTE-All of my shading is done with the  ½ Angular Shader

Snowman
Use Light Cinnamon and shade around entire snowman and under and above bow. Shade on the corner of eyes.
Use black to shade on the strap of hat, on the 3 dark small flowers of hat.
Use light Cinnamon to shade on snowman’s nose.
Use white and shade bottom of inside of eyes.
Use French Blue Grey to shade little birds.
Use Antique Maroon to shade inside of loops of bows and bottom to give depth.
Use Raspberry to shade large and small rose on hat.
Use plantation Pine and shade bottom of leaves on hat.

DETAILS- All detail is done with 10/0 liner and #1 liner.
